Because this page needed something new.

Wed Jul 1, 2009, 10:46 PM
So here I am, updating from about 3000 miles away from home. Probably more.

And why so far from home? Volunteer work, yay.

But I won't expand on that, because this is, after all, a site where anyone with internet access can read this. o.o

Uh, so I need to write again. For multiple reasons.

Anyone got suggestions for overcoming like a 3 month long writers block?

  • Listening to: Jai Ho (the actual hindi version, thank you)
  • Reading: Rage of Angels (Sidney Sheldon)

Well, I'm only 5'3 soo I had my share of learning to walk the walk in heels too. I'm still learning. Lolz, it's not exactly easy getting used to walking on needles. xD

I'm the oldest on one side and the youngest on the other-- well, the ex-youngest since now I have a little cousin who's 1 but she's not here so I guess at the moment I'm still the 'youngest'. Haha, yeah, I get doted on but moreso because I haven't been here in years than because of my age. :3

I was actually born halfway around the world. ;D So I'm here volunteering in the place where I was born, kinda neat. ^^

...don't make me use my man voice.
Yup, yup, I hear you there. XD I am so bad at manuvering around in heels, that I spilled my quasi-best friend's coke (yuck) all over his expensive new tuxedo. Haha, oops. I spent the majority of my graduation hiding in the bathroom from his wrath.
(But, to make matters worse, I'm done growing at 4'11", I'm thin and I've had double D-cups since sixth grade. CAN YOU IMAGINE MY BACK PAIN? LOLOL)

Aww, I'm the youngest on both sides (though everyone but one cousin on my mother's side died, so I suppose it's only one). Well, at least you can bask in the well-deserved limelight, then. People fawning over you must be fun. :3 (Oh, and a one-year-old? How adorable! I'm a sap for babies)

Oh, really? That's amazing! you don't have to give me specifics if you don't want to, but might I have a little insight as to where you were born? Does that mean that you're bilingual? The town I was born in is where my best friend lives, so I feel oddly nostalgic every time I visit her.

I'd like a pineapple-tuna-bird sandwich in the shape of a love triangle to go, please. :D
(Hey man, double D ain't too bad, lolz. But I do feel sorry bout your back pain. ._.)

HOW DARE YOU ASK FOR SPECIFICS WHAT ARE YOU, A STALKER?
--oh wait. xD

Bangalore, India~
I'm sort of bilingual. >.> English, dur, and then I can understand and barely speak kannada and then I'm sort of fluent in Spanish. So I guess two halves make a whole? xD

Ah, that's cool. I feel most nostalgic in NYC, since that's where I grew up. :3 Though we visited our old-old house in England a few years back and THAT was super nostalgic. Nobody I know lives in those places anymore though. D:

(Eugh, running track is killer, though. So's swimming--especially since I'm a star swimmer, what with it being the only sport I'm actually good at. XD)

I THOUGHT WE ALREADY WENT OVER THIS FACT. I just love to flaunt my stalker...ish ways, however. I am a certified stalker, aftr all. ;)

You've got a jealous girl on your hands. I may have an amazing memory, but language doesn't exactly make the cut. D: I received a 99 on my Spanish Regents, but all of this year's information wasn't truly absorbed. It's all gone now. Any tips to help this dork to memorize/comprehend languages?

Oh, really? I live an hour away from NYC! :D Well, I feel you there. I moved in fourth grade, and none of my contemporaries from there vividly remember me. XD There's actually a rather entertaining story pertaining to that if you're willing to hear. :3

(Running, I can totally imagine how much that sucks. I woulndn't expect swimming but I'll take your word for it, lol.)

Hmm, lesse. Well, I've always been good with languages so I guess part of it is that, but what I find helps the most is just talking. Lots. My friend is just as obsessed with spanish as I am so often our conversations drift out of English and into Spanish. :3 Also, my parents speak both English and Kannada to me at home, so I hear it there too. And now after listening to so much Japanese music and anime, I'm starting to pick up Japanese too. ^^; Soo... yeah. Immersion is the best thing you can do to really understand a language. :)

Ahh lucky you! I wish I was still there. D: Well, I might be for college.
Ooh, entertaining story yes plz!
